Contact Sift support
Email s.m.aliabidy@gmail.com with your app version, device model, operating system and a short description of what happened. Redact personal content from screenshots. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, private API keys or full payment details.
I cannot create an account
If Sift says account services are not configured, that is a build setup problem, not a problem with your password. Ask for a corrected build and keep your local saves. Do not reinstall as a first troubleshooting step. Local capture still works in offline preview builds.
If registration asks you to confirm your email, check your inbox and spam folder, then open the verification link. If an account already exists, use Sign in or password recovery. Tell support if the email link does not return to Sift; do not forward the verification link itself.
How do I use—or turn off—AI?
Open the add screen, choose a link, screenshot or thought, add an optional comment, and check Enrich with AI. When it is enabled, the selected content is sent for AI processing. It may default on for eligible Pro/trial accounts. Turn it off before saving if you want local-only capture.
AI requires a connected account and available allowance. If a link cannot be read, try a screenshot or a short thought containing the information you have permission to share. Review all generated details; your original save remains useful even when enrichment fails. Read the Privacy Policy before submitting sensitive content.
Why is Screenshot disabled?
Screenshot import is supported by native Sift builds, not the browser build. On a supported device, select an image through the system picker and grant access as prompted. Sift does not need access to every photo to import a selected screenshot.
The weekend summary did not arrive
In You, enable Weekend snapshot and allow notifications in device settings. The reminder is scheduled locally for Saturday at 9:00 AM using your device timezone. Supported platforms are iOS, macOS and Android; web reminders are not available. Focus modes, notification settings and OS scheduling can affect delivery. Turn the setting off to stop future reminders.
Did my trial start an Apple subscription?
No. The 7-day Sift trial asks for no card and does not start or renew an Apple subscription. It returns to Free when it ends. A paid plan begins only if you separately confirm a purchase through Apple.
I paid, but Pro is not showing
- Confirm you are using the Sift account originally linked to the purchase and the correct Apple account.
- Open the Pro screen and choose Restore Purchases with a working network connection.
- If verification is still pending, check status or retry. An empty restore means no active subscription was confirmed, not that you need to purchase again.
- Contact support if you see an account-conflict message or remain charged without access. Include the product name and approximate purchase date, not a full receipt or card number.
Canceling and refunds
Use Apple subscription settings to manage renewal. Apple handles refund requests. Deleting Sift, signing out or deleting your Sift account does not cancel billing.
My saved items are missing or the app cannot load
Your library is local to the device; sign-in does not download another device’s saves. If a load error offers Try again, use that first. A reset permanently clears local data, so use it only if you accept that loss. Do not reinstall or clear app storage before contacting support about important unsynced items.
For separate account and device-data removal steps, see Delete account and data.
