What stays on your device, what AI processes, and the controls available to you.

Solvvit L.L.C-FZ operates Sift & Remember under the mindgameapps brand and is responsible for the personal data processing described in this policy. For questions or a privacy request, email hello@solvvit.com. This page describes the local app and its connected account, AI and Apple subscription features.

Adult access

Sift is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. The app stores your versioned adult self-declaration on this device before opening the app. Connected AI and trial access also require a declaration associated with your signed-in account; the backend stores its policy version and confirmation time. This is not identity or age verification, and this check does not collect a date of birth or identity document. Account-linked adult declarations are removed when account deletion completes. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information to Sift, contact us for help reviewing and deleting it.

Your local library

Links, thoughts, comments, saved AI findings, preferences and completion information are stored on your device. Screenshots up to 5 MB are copied into the app's private storage and stay on the device. Sift does not run OCR, extract text from the image or send screenshot bytes, filenames or local file paths for AI processing. You may add up to 300 characters of typed or pasted text to a screenshot; the text is optional for saving and is the only screenshot-related content analyzed when you choose AI. Thoughts also have a 300-character limit. Selecting an image does not give Sift permission to upload your photo library.

New saves require a signed-in account, active free access or paid Pro, and an online access check, even when AI is off. This check uses your account to confirm access; it does not upload the content of a manual save. Signing in does not synchronize or back up your library to the cloud. Existing saves can be viewed, searched and deleted offline. Without active access, your library is read-only and new saves and AI are unavailable. Local saves remain on the device after free access expires, sign-out or account deletion. The library uses the app sandbox and device protections; it is not a separately encrypted vault. Avoid saving passwords, payment details or content that needs stronger confidentiality protections.

Accounts

Email one-time codes are the default for registration and sign-in. Supabase Auth receives your email address and the code you submit, plus your display name when you create an account. Where optional password sign-in is available, you can set or change a password after signing in to your verified account; that password is sent to Supabase Auth, not to the optional reporting service. Email codes and a password for the same account open the same account and subscription. Recovery emails support password access; you can also sign in with a fresh email code. We use the account identifier to provide AI access, verify trial eligibility, associate subscriptions and respond to account requests. Native session credentials use secure platform storage; browser sessions use browser storage. Never share a password, verification code or recovery link.

Optional AI processing

AI starts off for each new save. You choose which items to enrich; Sift does not automatically upload your library. Before sharing, the app names Google Gemini as the third-party AI provider and Supabase as Sift's backend, and explains the data involved. Turning AI on does not send the item. When permission is needed, Send to Google Gemini? asks you to choose Allow and send or Keep local. Dismissing the request does not authorize sharing.

With your permission, Sift sends the selected URL, thought or screenshot's typed or pasted text, a link's optional comment, item identifier and revision, locale and timezone to Supabase. Screenshot images, filenames and local file paths are excluded, and the backend rejects image-processing requests. Supabase sends the text needed for analysis, including locale and timezone, to Google Gemini. For a public link, Gemini retrieves the submitted page to analyze its content. The integration does not use Google Search grounding. The AI request does not intentionally include your account email or display name, but personal information in text or public pages you submit can be processed.

The optional Remember permission for items I choose to enrich checkbox starts unchecked. If you confirm it, permission applies to this signed-in account on this device and the current provider/disclosure version. It covers future selected link URLs, public page content and comments, thoughts, and typed or pasted screenshot text, plus locale and timezone. It never covers screenshot images or filenames. You must still manually choose to enrich each item; remembered permission does not enable automatic uploads or process your existing library. A change to the consent version requires a new choice.

Without remembered permission, consent applies only to the selected item and content revision. Queued items without matching permission are not sent. Under You > AI privacy > Reset permission, you can remove remembered and per-item permission for this account on this device. A successful reset stops requests that have not been sent and prevents late results from being applied. Your local saves and existing summaries remain. Content already sent cannot be recalled; resetting permission does not delete server or provider records or change permission on another device. If the reset cannot be saved, AI pauses for the session but the saved permission may remain; follow the app's error instructions to complete the reset.

Sift stores AI results and job information in Supabase to return results reliably, handle retries and meter usage. Results may contain information derived from the content you shared. Marking a local save done does not delete its server-side AI job. Sift's AI job tables do not store a separate uploaded screenshot file. See Retention and deletion below for deletion rules.

Previously shared images: earlier versions allowed you to send a selected screenshot and its filename with permission. An update or consent reset does not erase previously sent information or results derived from it; the retention and deletion rules below still apply.

Sift uses Google's paid Gemini API service for current customer AI processing. Under Google's paid-service terms, prompts and responses are not used to improve Google's products, but Google retains limited records for safety, security and legal purposes. Sift does not create a stored conversation, uploaded Files API object or explicit context cache; this does not mean zero provider retention. Do not send confidential information or another person's data unless you have permission and understand this processing.

Apple purchases and separate free access

Apple processes paid subscriptions and payment details. Sift receives signed transaction identifiers, product and subscription status, and dates needed to verify Pro access, restore purchases and handle renewal or revocation. We do not collect your payment-card details.

The separate 14-day Sift free access period requires an eligible verified account and an explicit start action, with no payment card or Apple purchase. It ends with no charge and does not renew. A paid subscription starts only when you separately choose and confirm an Apple purchase; that purchase does not include a free period. Free access provides unlimited saves and up to 20 successful AI enrichments total during that period; paid Pro provides up to 200 per UTC calendar month. To prevent repeat trial redemption, the backend keeps a protected hash derived from your normalized verified email and the free-access grant time even after account deletion. The hash is not used as a mailing list, but it still serves as a retained identifier for eligibility checks.

Notifications, diagnostics and support

The optional weekend snapshot is scheduled locally for Saturday at 9:00 AM in your device timezone. Notification permissions and the in-app setting control it. Device settings may show the notification on a lock screen.

Free-access reminders appear only inside the app after 10 elapsed days and during the final 24 hours of active free access. They do not send push notifications or marketing emails. Dismissals are stored on your device using an account identifier, free-access start time and reminder stage, not your email address. This dismissal state is not synchronized to other devices or sent as reminder analytics.

Connected services process technical request information needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the service. Sift's application error logs record limited operational fields such as request identifier, route, error code and duration; hosting and service providers can maintain their own operational records. These necessary service records are separate from optional reporting. If you email support, your address and message are used to investigate and respond. Do not send passwords or verification codes.

Optional advertising measurement with Meta

Optional advertising measurement is disabled in the public App Store version. A separate TestFlight validation build may offer this feature so its consent controls, event receipt and privacy behavior can be tested before any public rollout. Publishing this policy does not enable the feature or confirm that ad installs can be measured successfully.

Where the TestFlight option is available, Sift explains the sharing before it starts and requires a separate choice plus Apple's tracking permission. AI permission, account registration, a subscription or permission for Sift usage statistics will not enable it. Declining will not affect saving, AI access or your subscription. The validation implementation uses app-owned requests, not a Meta SDK.

With both permissions, Sift sends Meta a limited app-open event, event time, a random installation identifier, app identifier and version, iOS version and permission status. Meta also receives network information including your IP address, which can indicate an approximate region. The identifier is created only after permission and is separate from your account. These records are not anonymous, and Meta may associate them with other information for advertising measurement. Sift does not request precise GPS location for this feature.

Sift also asks Apple's SKAdNetwork service to register privacy-preserving install attribution. Apple controls eligibility and limited, delayed attribution reports to the eligible advertising network, which may be Meta. An accepted app-open request or Apple registration callback does not prove an attributed install or successful ad measurement. Sift does not send Meta a separate install event or use purchase or revenue conversion values.

Sift will not send IDFA, IDFV, account IDs, email addresses, saved links or text, screenshots, AI prompts or results, subscription history, purchase events or payment details through this integration. Automatic purchase logging, advanced matching and automatic screen-content collection are not part of the feature.

You can turn off the separate advertising-measurement choice in the app's privacy settings. Turning it off cancels app-owned pending requests, clears the local measurement identifier and prevents new measurement requests from Sift. There is no saved event queue or automatic retry; a canceled or failed attempt is not replayed later. Information already transmitted cannot be recalled, and Apple-scheduled attribution postbacks cannot be canceled by Sift. Turning off measurement does not delete information already received by Meta or change your choice on another device.

If the app cannot save your off choice, measurement remains off for that session but your previous saved choice may return on relaunch. Retry saving the off choice before closing Sift. If the app cannot confirm the native measurement state, follow its warning to close and reopen the app after ensuring the off choice is saved.

Sift's account-deletion and Delete shared reports controls do not delete Meta's records. Meta's retention and privacy controls are governed by its applicable terms and Meta Privacy Policy, rather than the 30-day period for Sift's separate reporting service. We do not promise a fixed retention period or immediate deletion for Meta's records. Contact hello@solvvit.com for assistance with a privacy request.

Optional usage statistics and error diagnostics

Optional reporting is currently disabled. Sift does not collect or send optional usage or diagnostic reports or create a new reporting identifier. An identifier already stored on your device may be sent solely to complete deletion of previously shared reports. Necessary account, billing, AI and operational processing described above remains active.

Previously shared reports: if you opted in to reporting, our Supabase reporting service received limited feature-use or error categories to understand feature use and improve reliability. These included session, saving, AI outcome, and trial or subscription-checkout events, plus coarse response-time buckets, a random installation identifier, app version, platform and event time. Reports were pseudonymous, not anonymous. They did not include your account ID, email, password, saved content, search terms, payment details, AI prompts and responses, advertising identifiers, exception messages, stack traces or session recordings. They were not used for advertising, cross-company tracking or combining with your account records.

Reporting records and identities expire after 30 days and are removed by scheduled cleanup. The collector's secret-keyed network identifier for rate limiting lasts up to 10 minutes, rather than storing a raw IP address in reporting tables. Provider logs and backups are separate and may have different retention. After deletion, a content-free record containing the old reporting identifier and token hash may remain for up to 30 days to reject late requests.

You can use Delete shared reports under You > Privacy & diagnostics to request deletion. In-app account deletion also requests deletion for the current installation. Because reports are installation-scoped rather than account-linked, repeat deletion on each device where you opted in. Collection remains stopped while deletion is pending; server deletion is not immediate while offline. These controls do not delete your library or cancel an Apple subscription, and do not promise immediate removal from provider logs or backups. Apple's own device analytics settings are managed separately. See Delete optional shared reports for the steps.

Service providers and external links

Supabase supplies authentication, backend execution and database storage; Google Gemini supplies enabled AI analysis; Apple supplies App Store billing. These services can process information in countries other than your own. Their roles and applicable service terms differ; our policy explains Sift’s use of them.

Opening a saved link takes you to a third-party website whose own privacy practices apply.

Retention and deletion

Local saves remain until removed from the app or device. Account-linked profiles, AI jobs and results, usage records and active subscription bindings are removed when account deletion completes. The current service has no automatic age-based deletion for AI results while an account remains active.

There are exceptions: the trial-eligibility hash and grant time remain to prevent repeated trials, and billing replay-protection events retain provider references and timestamps with their Sift account link removed. These retained records do not currently have a configured automatic expiration. Apple purchase history, copies you exported or shared, device backups, and provider operational records are not erased by Sift’s in-app deletion action. We cannot promise immediate removal from provider backups or logs.
